Writers Confront 50 Years of Occupation: A Book Talk with Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman
As the world marks the 50th anniversary of the occupation this June, Breaking the Silence is pleased to invite you to a launch event in Jerusalem of the new anthology, Kingdom of Olives and Ash: Writers Confront the Occupation (Coming May 30th), edited by Ayelet Waldman and Michael Chabon.
When: Sunday, June 18th, 19:30 PM.
Where: Beit Shmuel, Eliyahu Shama St 6, Jerusalem.
The event will be held in English, and will include a panel discussion with the book's editors, Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman, two of the book's contributors, Assaf Gavron and Fida Jiryis, and Avner Gvaryahu of Breaking the Silence. It will be moderated by Haaretz columnist Bradley Burston.
Admission is free. Copies of Kingdom of Olives and Ash will be available for purchase after the event.
